We're nearing the end of the season now and it's going to be a top half finish for both the 5th and 6th teams this year. I regard this as a huge success team so well done to all of you.
An expected, if not disappointing result. Braunstone 3 are a very strong side this year.
A good result for John on board four though, well played John.
Another disappointing result. We did the right thing though because if we'd have won, there's a chance we'd have got promoted!
Unfortunately, I didn't see any other games aside from Darren's bore draw at the end of the night.
Simon was first to fall with a disappointing loss to a talented junior player.
I then offered a draw after my opponent was short on time and was clearly going for three fold repetition after blowing my Kingside open.
Barrie lost out in a King and pawn ending after his own King was tied up with advanced pawns, leaving his opponent's King to mop up Queenside.
